Musician Takahiro Muramatsu (1967-2017) was active in two groups, “Smurphies’ Fearless Bunch”(Smurf Otoko Gumi ) and "Asteroid Desert Songs. His activities were diverse, ranging from editor, music critic, DJ, poet, rapper, etc., and his comments, thoughts, and attitude had a considerable influence on the Tokyo underground scene.
This video is a nearly unique record of a rare live performance of his very early years, filmed in 1995. A lover of early hip-hop and a connoisseur of everything from noise to classical music, all of his aesthetics, along with his early impulses, are simply crystallized in a dog barking song played only on a Yamaha QY-2O and an AKAI S900.
“ASTEROID DESERT SONGS" vol.2 at M. MATISTE, Nishiazabu, Tokyo April 25, 1995, featuring the “LOS APSON?” This song was later released on a 7" in 1995 as "Magic Alexis Mardas / Magic Alex" on donut, a sub-label within MOODMAN's M.O.O.D. label.
